What I Love About Christmas

What I Love About Christmas

I absolutely adore Christmas time: There are just so many things to love about it! After all, it is the most wonderful time of the year!

For all those getting caught up in the stress of it all, I thought I would make a list of everything I love about Christmas and why you should love it too!

1. The Giving Spirit That Comes At Christmas Time

There is something about Christmas that apparently makes everyone feel more giving. Not just towards their friends and families but also to those less fortunate. There are so many ways to go about giving, including Christmas charity appeals, present giving and money collections which just make everyone so much more willing to share what they have.

2. The Music

Okay so, Christmas music has been my guilty pleasure for as long as I can remember. There is something about a bit Michael Buble, Mariah Carey and Wham that just makes me so happy! While it's not everyone's taste, hearing them everywhere, from the shops to in the car, just puts me in the jolliest mood and I cannot resist singing along! That crazy lady going full out when they hear All I Want For Christmas Is You... yeah, that's me!

3. Lights, Lights and More Lights!

If you knew me then you'd know that I have a slight obsession with fairy lights and much to my delight, Christmas is basically the season of fairy lights - everywhere!

4. I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

I cannot be the only one that looks forward to winter, just because I'm A Celebrity is showing! It's a long term love of mine and I always look forward to seeing Ant and Dec present gruesome trials to unsuspecting celebrities! How does everyone feel about this year's result? But, I am still slightly upset the Iceland's adverts have gone...

5. The Smells?

I know it sounds weird but there are certain scents I associate with Christmas and they just make me happy. Like the smell of churros cooking on a stall, cinnamon scents, the smell of the Christmas tree and the tinsel. Just me? Okay...

6. Spending Time With Family

This has to be greatest thing about Christmas. The way it brings all of the family together. Getting to see those cousins and aunts and uncles and your grandparents just makes all the stresses of Christmas worthwhile.

What is your favourite thing about Christmas? I'd love to hear in the comments down below!

I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Guys Stocking Stuffers

On Friday I created a girl's stocking stuffer ideas post so naturally, I had to create a guys one as well. Obviously though, I'm not a guy so my knowledge on what they want is pretty limited. But, I have created a collection of items that I would put in a stocking if I were buying stocking stuffers for the guys in my life.

Some of the items are more suited to an older guy but others are suitable for pretty much any boy in your life. I've linked the items in the picture above but this post is mainly for inspiration.

Other items you could put into a stocking could include:

Tin of Mints
DVD
CD
Darts
Tools e.g. Hammer
Batteries
Lighter
Hankie
Seeds
Car Freshener
Chewing Gum
Letter Opener
Nail Clippers
Watch
Show Horn
Ear Plugs
Chilli Sauce
Razor
Socks

One thing you could look into when buying stocking stuffers is novelty items. For example, you could get a novlty USB stick, mug or playing cards. Then the items will really be suited to the individual.

I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

November/December Bujo Spreads

November and December Bujo Spreads

One thing that I have been keeping you guys up to date with is my bullet journal but last month I didn't get round to doing a November update. This was mainly because of the lack of interesting spreads to show you: Apparently November was a really boring month! So this month, I thought I'd put together a collection of both my November and December spreads:

November Monthly

The first spread I'll show you is my November monthly spread. It's basically a redesign of my usual monthly spreads but I decided to change up the right hand side sections. I really liked using the goals section of my monthly spread and the money section also came in handy a couple of times too so I think they're going to stay.

November Weekly

This next spread is a weekly spread, the design of which I used throughout the whole of November. I actually found that drawing the boxes for each day was quite restricting so I think I'm going to be sticking to my dividers instead.

School To Do List

This spread is my school to do list and oh my lordy is it the most helpful thing I have ever created. It is basically a master to do list of everything I will ever have to do for my A-level subjects.

The maths section includes a table of every single exercise in the text book and another table of all of the things I want to do for every chapter. I also have a table for all of the past papers I want to complete, so I'll fill in the box when I have done it and corrected it. This is also pretty much the same for the stats section where I have a table for the chapters and a table for the exercises.

I then also have a section for my ICT coursework where I have listed every single assignment I will need to do this year. The final section is my Geography section which includes each of the three topics I study and the subtopics within each.

I know it took a long time to create but is seriously one of the most useful things ever and helps to keep me motivated too because I know exactly what revision I need to do.

December Monthly

This month I decided to spice up my usual monochrome monthly spread and added a little festive cheer instead. It's pretty much the same design as every other month but with a few decorations like holly and lights. I won't lie to you, I'm not sure I like it with all the colour... (How boring Freya!)

I did change up some of the sections on the right hand side though and instead added a sleeps till Christmas section and removed my blog section as I replaced it this month with my Blogmas Spread which you can read more about here.

 December Weekly

My final spread to show you is the weekly spread I have been using in December so far. It's really simple and titles are smaller than usual but I do really like the look of this spread and have really enjoyed using it. I'm thinking though, that I might change the Saturday and Sunday sections by adding a weekend to do's section instead?

So that is pretty much all of the different spreads I have been using over these past two months. Even though there is two months worth of spreads, I actually don't have that much variety.  I have tried to mix it up a little in December but I'm not sure it'll stick.... I feel like I need to start some new collections for January and the new year to spice it up a little!
...I just realised I need to get my act together with my new yearly spreads... How exciting is that!

Do you have any plans for your bullet journal in the new year? I' love some inspiration if you have any links!

I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Girls Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Girls Stocking Stuffers

I'm pretty sure I am one of the only people in England that has never had a Christmas stocking before. People always seem distraught about this when I tell them but it's just something my family have never done. I am the only person like this?

I've always loved the idea of a Christmas stocking and the idea of getting lots of little presents alongside the ones under the tree. But one thing I'm pretty sure would be impossible, would be to fill a stocking for someone my age.

Despite my lack of knowledge on the subject, I thought I'd come up with a bunch of ideas of stocking stuffers that a girl my age would love to receive. As shown in the picture above, you could get:

Other ideas could include:

Tin of Mints
Make Up Brushes
Was Tape
Make Up Sponges
Make Up
Nail Varnish Remover
Hand Cream
Body Scrub
Shower Scrunchie
Sweets
Ring
Earrings
Necklace
Gloves
Scarf
Stationary
Ornaments
Pandora Charm
Craft Supplies

Anything I have missed from this list? What would you love to see in your stocking? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

The World's Greatest Christmas Album

michael Buble Christmas

One of my favourite things about Christmas is the Christmas music that comes with it. I'm a strict believer in no Christmas music before December, but let me tell you... when December 1st comes... I'll have those Christmas jams on repeat!

I love pretty much every Christmas song out there but there is one particular album I cannot resist:  Michael Buble's Christmas.

I love listening to Buble's music anyway but this album is Christmas gold. His voice is so perfectly suited for Christmas songs it's unreal! He puts his own orignial twist on all of the classics and I just can't get enough of it!

My favourite songs on the album are Santa Baby, Christmas (Baby Please Come Home), Jingle Bells and It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas. These songs just make me so happy! Even if you don't go and buy the album (which I definately recommend) then I suggest you at least give these songs a listen!

Do you have a favourite Christmas album? Let me know in the comments and don't forget to catch up with my last blogmas posts!

I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Winter Wonderland Photo Diary

On Sunday, I had one of the most amazing and most christmassy days out ever at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, London. I went with 5 of my friends and it was one of my favourite days of the year so far!

Four of us got the train up to London and it took us just over an hour on the train but we also had to get the tube which are apparently really difficult to understand by us outsiders!

We got there about two hours before it got dark and we spent almost all of this just wondering around, taking it all in.

The only activity I had pre-booked for the day was ice skating and it was probably one of the best parts of the day. (Second to the food of course!) It was quite busy but that just added to the atmosphere for me.

In fact, the whole of Winter Wonderland was pretty packed but again, I think it added to the cosy atmosphere of it all. I really didn't want to let go of Jack's hand though because I was scared I would get lost. (Yes, that is something I would do.)

There were hundreds of stalls selling so many different amazing products, from food to ornaments and I wish I'd taken more photos of them all. I also made sure that we hunted down the food stall selling these chocolate covered apples because I had one last year and I loved it so much that I needed another one this year.

We went on a tonne of the rides there too which were really fun and I also ate more food than I'd care to admit. But the day way truly amazing. I wish I had bought my camera with me and taken more photos but instead you've got some pictures borrowed from my friends' phones... You're welcome!

Will you be going to Winter Wonderland in London this year? Or do you have any other festive plans? Let me know in the comments down below!

I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Gifts For Her

I don't know about you but I've still got a substantial bit of Christmas shopping to do. I just haven't found it within myself to get it over and done with but no worries, I have a shopping trip planned for next week!

Today, I thought I'd put together a gift guide for all the ladies in your life. I previously did a gifts for him post so obviously I couldn't go without doing a guide for her too. I have basically found a collection of items to give you a little bit of inspiration. A few of them are high end products and others more affordable but the main point is to give you some ideas.

I have the Olympia perfume and its nearly run out I love it that much! What's your favourite thing on this list? Let me know in the comments down below.

I hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
