A Trip To Cornwall

A Trip To Cornwall

This summer me and my family took a week long trip to the (semi) sunny part of England that is Cornwall. We usually go there every year for a short summer holiday and recently some of our family members moved there so we'll be sure to go even more often so we can see them.
It's one of my favourite places to visit for the lovely beaches, sunny weather and especially the waves.

A typical holiday there would consist of beach days, body-boarding, ice cream and of course, a couple more beach days and this one was no different.

We spent a fairly long time on car journeys on our holiday as we had a (roughly) 5 hour car journey there and back as well as driving around to find different beaches to visit. Some of the beaches we visited though were truly amazing and had some of the best waves for body-boarding.

We saw, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful scenery in the whole of England and it would be so easy just to spend hours sitting around, watching the water.

One of the other activates we did was 'Country Skittles' which is basically like an old-fashioned bowling alley. You have to keep scores yourselves but it is actually a really fun family activity! You can go to this place and book a lane and before you play, you order your food so that its already prepared by the time you've finished the game and worked up an appetite! Which, might I add, was rather yummy! There are also other games available such as air hockey, pool, darts, a shooting range, giant draughts and a selection of free board games for you to play with your family.

We also spent a day in a town called Falmouth which I now absolutely adore. The whole high street is lined with cute, unique, little shops that you could quite easily spend too much money in. I also found my new favourite restaurant which is full of little quirks like balloon shaped light fittings, fish shaped plates, the front of a boat as the ordering desk, and kids meals are literally served with a bucket and spade! I was instantly in love!

Fireworks at Flambards

On another day of our holiday, we spent the day at Flambards, a small theme park near to where we were saying. The best way I could describe it is a fun fair on steroids. Although it was mainly steered towards younger kids, we still had a really good day out as there were a few rides that were aimed towards adults.  As our luck would go, there was actually a fireworks show on in the evening, (I am in love with fireworks,) and we were able to have our hands stamped so we could come back later in the day to watch it and we were definitely not disappointed!

Cornwall always has been and always will one of my favourite places to visit on holiday. Where is your favourite UK holiday destination? Let me know in the comments below.

I hope you have a great day and if it's your birthday, happy birthday!
